These are the aircraft that go forward. Each is shaped by where it has to operate rather than by what fits a standard airframe: a tube sized for a doorway, a grenade-carried round for close quarters, a sealed heavy-lifter for weather and jamming.
A drone the size and shape of a hand grenade. It carries as a sealed vertical tube, unfolds its rotors in one motion, and flies in the spaces that are too tight for anything with arms: rooms, stairwells, tunnels, ships' passageways. It carries a camera and nothing else, and it is the reconnaissance half of the tube family MJÖLNIR completes.
A waterproof FPV quadcopter with an unjammable control link, two hours of flight time and five kilograms of payload. It flies in weather that grounds other airframes and keeps flying in electromagnetic conditions that sever other links.
A grenade that flies, watches and waits. It carries like a standard hand grenade, unfolds four rotors, and puts a picture on a handheld screen so the operator can see the target before committing to it. What it does when it arrives depends on the module fitted underneath.
