Huginn
A drone the size and shape of a hand grenade. It carries as a sealed vertical tube, unfolds its rotors in one motion, and flies in the spaces that are too tight for anything with arms: rooms, stairwells, tunnels, ships' passageways. It carries a camera and nothing else, and it is the reconnaissance half of the tube family MJÖLNIR completes.
Every other small drone is a flat X with four arms sticking out. That shape is the reason it cannot go through a doorway at speed, cannot be carried on a belt, and snags on everything in a corridor. HUGINN is a tube. The coaxial rotor stack folds inside its own diameter, so what a soldier carries is a cylinder, and what unfolds is an aircraft with no protruding arms to catch on a door frame.

The coaxial stack folds inside the tube's own diameter. There is nothing sticking out to break in a pouch, catch on a door frame, or stop it going where a soldier can go.
Built for indoors, not adapted to it
Rooms, stairwells, caves and ships' passageways are the design case, not an edge case. No satellite fix is needed, because it was never going to have one.

Clearing a structure is where casualties happen. HUGINN goes through the door first and shows the room to the people who are about to be standing in it.
